As part of commemorating World AIDS Day, YAWE Foundation organised an “Ecumenical pray and candle light function” in Fort Portal town at the Tax Park. This function was attended by the local leaders, religious leaders, youth and the general public. It was aimed at remembering our departed brothers and sisters due to HIV and also raise awareness about HIV prevention practices and improve adherence to ART and care for people living with HIV (promoting positive living). A lot of youth and adults gave a message of hope to people living with HIV using their personal testimonies of their life stories. We also encouraged people to test for HIV so that they can know their HIV status and in case found HIV positive, they are linked to ART services.
