Ecumenical prayer and candle light function activities to mark Wold AIDS Day 2020

As part of commemorating World AIDS Day, YAWE Foundation organised an “Ecumenical pray and candle light function” in Fort Portal town at the Tax Park. This function was attended by the local leaders, religious leaders, youth and the general public.

6th annual Youth Conference

Kabarole Unique Stars Association (KUSA) is a network uniting young people living with HIV in Kabarole District, Kabarole Unique Association (KUSA) is a community based NGO/CBO in Uganda operating in West Division, Fort Portal Municipality, Kabarole district. The organization promotes adolescents’ reproductive health services, HIV prevention and care, empowers young people in entrepreneurship, music through brass band training and life skills especially for young people, KUSA also promotes positive prevention and reduction of HIV-
stigma and discrimination.

U.S. Ambassador visits YAWE Foundation

On 18 May 2017, the U.S. Ambassador to Uganda Deborah Malac visited YAWE Foundation as part of a brief tour in Kabarole District. YAWE’s Executive Director, Akora George, and the music, dance and drama group welcomed the Ambassador, along with other esteemed guests including the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention’s Country Director and Director of Baylor Uganda.
